African Schools
of Missions

Let’s start from the beginning:

West Africa School of Missions - 2016

The West Africa School of Missions, locally known as the Onyechi Oguagha Emeka School of Missions (NEOSOM), was established in 2016 as the first mission school outside the USA. Located in Lagos, it serves as a key training hub for young people from English-speaking West Africa, who move to Lagos for three years of intensive ministry training. The program includes active participation in mission teams, offering practical experience and deepening their faith.

NEOSOM addresses the urgent need for young leadership in the region and has fostered unity among students from diverse countries and tribes. The school has revitalized local congregations with renewed faith and energy. Currently, NEOSOM has 12 students from Liberia and Nigeria and has graduated a total of 40 students since its inception.

Southern Africa School
of Missions - 2021

In 2021, we were thrilled to launch the Southern Africa School of Missions (SASM) in Johannesburg, South Africa, our second mission school on the African continent. Hosted by the Johannesburg Church, SASM serves 12 nations in Southern Africa, encompassing 22 churches and a population of 218 million.

The school is dedicated to revitalizing campus and youth ministries by developing new leaders for the 12 churches in the region that currently lack full-time staff. SASM is training 9 students from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Angola, continuing its commitment to next-generation leadership. We appreciate your prayers for this promising program as it grows and fulfills its mission.

French West Africa School of Missions - 2023

In 2023, we were excited to partner with the Abidjan Church in Ivory Coast to establish the French West Africa School of Missions, locally known as the École des Missions Meviyé - Okolo - Thée Huguette - Afrique de l’Ouest Francophone (EMMOTH). This initiative marks our first French-speaking mission school on the African continent.

EMMOTH is a collaborative effort with the local church, serving a region that includes 17 churches and a population of 144 million across eight countries: Senegal, Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, Niger, and Ivory Coast. The shared vision among French-speaking West African teachers and trainers is to develop trained and visionary leadership for these churches, many of which operate with limited full-time staff. By investing in passionate local disciples, the school aims to enhance campus and youth ministries with dedicated leaders. Currently, EMMOTH is training 16 students in Abidjan and 4 online students from Cotonou, Benin, and Lomé, Togo.

Central Africa School
of Missions - 2023

We were pleased to introduce the Central Africa School of Missions (CASM), our second French-speaking mission school in Africa, established just days after the launch of the French West Africa School of Missions (FWASM). Hosted by the Kinshasa Church, CASM serves six nations in Central Africa: Chad, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Gabon, Congo, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

CASM aims to develop trained and visionary leadership for the 16 churches in this region, many of which operate with limited full-time staff. By investing in passionate local disciples, the school seeks to strengthen campus and youth ministries with new leaders. CASM is currently training 10 students from Brazzaville, Congo, and Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, continuing its commitment to preparing the next generation of church leaders.

East Africa School
of Missions - 2024

In 2024, we were honored to introduce the Dan Kuria School of Missions (DAKUSOM), our first school of missions in East Africa.

Dan Kuria was a dedicated minister sent to lead the church in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. During his brief time there, the church experienced remarkable growth and transformation, particularly among university students, including the current church leader in Addis Ababa. Tragically, Dan lost his life in the mission field when he was struck by a stray bullet during a student riot. In his memory, the school was named DAKUSOM to honor his legacy.

Hosted by the Nairobi Church, which has over 1,000 members, DAKUSOM is committed to providing trained and visionary leadership for the churches in Kenya, many of which currently operate with limited full-time staff. This vision begins by investing in passionate local disciples, aiming to strengthen the campus and youth ministries with a new generation of leaders.

DAKUSOM is currently training 10 students in Nairobi and remains focused on preparing the next generation of church leaders.
